Tickets for both the water parks and amusement piers are $59 for people under 48″ and $79 for people over 48″.

4. Check out the Cape May County Park & Zoo
As one of the best and free things to do in New Jersey, the Cape May County Park & Zoo is an absolutely wonderful experience. Located right off the Garden State Parkway just north of Wildwood, this park and zoo is home to wildlife preserves, sanctuaries, and beautiful parks. There are endless picnic areas, walking trails, ponds, playgrounds, basketball courts, disc golf courses, and even a soccer field. And the best part? It’s entirely free.

Located just north of New Brunswick in Middlesex, the Demented Brewing Company was voted the state’s best craft brewery. One of the more adult-friendly things to do in New Jersey, this brewery is free to visit. Be sure to bring your wallet to sample some of their spectacular drinks, however. They are focused on creating seasonally inspired beers that are on tap in their exquisite tasting room. Their amazing beers are featured in more than 600 bars and restaurants throughout the state.
Obviously, since there is alcohol involved, it’s best to leave the kids at home for this experience. The brewery is open year-round, every day from 12PM until 10PM and tours are available for free during their tap room hours. Anyone looking to try some fabulous drinks or for a nice night out should definitely try the Demented Brewing Company.

6. Discover the Liberty Science Center
Enter the world of science at this nationally recognized museum and science center. The science center is located just west of NYC, across the Hudson River. Adults and children alike can experience hands-on exhibitions that teach you about the world of science. The Liberty Science Center features an amazing lightning show, science labs, climbing walls, and live animals; just to name a few. Tickets to the science center begin at $11.75 for teachers (with an ID), $17.75 for children ages 2-12, $18.75 for seniors, and $21.75 for adults.
The Liberty Science Center is an essential stop on the things to do in New Jersey list. They are open year-round, from 9AM until 4PM Monday-Friday and 9AM until 5:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
